Many energy providers provide opportunites for their customers to invest in renewable resources, encouraging the community to consider more environmentally friendly options of powering their home. Your provider may have rebates and incentives in place for options such as: wind, geothermal, hydro, and solar. Being a solar company, we dial-in on the benefits of solar energy. Solar enerygy programs are designed for customers willing to generate their own electricity by installing a self-generating solar panel system.
Saskatchewan
NET METERING PROGRAM
The Net Metering Program provides the opportunity for Saskatchewan customers to produce their own electricity through renewable generation technologies. Eligible customers could get up to $20,000 in rebates toward their system.
- All applications must be submitted by November 30, 2018.
- Available to residents, farmers, and businesses.
- Rebate covering 20% of equipment and installation costs. (maximum of $20,000).
- Receive full credit for excess power.
- Unused credited power will be banked in your SaskPower account for up to 1 year.

SMALL POWER PRODUCERS PROGRAM
Unfortunately, the Small Power Producers Program has reached the maximum limit of customer generation capacity. Applications are currently not being accepted, although customers are asked to hold any outstanding applications until new programs are available.
The Small Power Producers Program is designed for customers who are interested in generating electricity, with the purpose of either offsetting their current electricity, or for selling all of the generated power directly to SaskPower.

- Generate up to 100kW(DC)
- Sell our produced power
- Either sell all of your generated power;
- Or sell any unused/excess generated power.
- SaskPower will pay 10.82¢/kWh for your power

Manitoba
MANITOBA HYDRO SOLAR ENERGY PROGRAM
Unfortunately, the Manitoba Hydro Solar Energy Program is currently on hold. A new solar program may be made available later in the 2018 year.
The Manitoba Hydro Solar Energy Program is the best of its kind in all of Canada. With this program, MB Hydro provides their customers with a rebate that covers $1000/kW to install their solar panel system. In total, this incentive will pay for over one third of your total system costs.
- All applications must be submitted by January 29, 2018.
- Available to residents, farmers, and businesses.
- Rebate of $1.00/watt(DC).
- System sizes ranging from 1kW(DC) to 200kW(DC).
- Receive full credit for excess electricity production.
- MB Hydro Financing option:
- Available for systems up to 10kW(DC)
- 15 year loan (180 monthly payments)
- 4.9% interest rate
